Advanced Training through Cource & Education

Our drilling and engineering courses are held by our experienced instructors in teaching facilities with equipment from installations.

Our drilling course gives you practical training in drilling. Through the drill course you will learn about pressure control, drilling technology, geology and formation evaluation, operating and control systems, well fluids as well as health, environment and safety.

Well technology gives you a good understanding of what is happening on a platform and the different phases of a drilling operation, from geology and drilling technology to the construction and production.

Exploration, drilling and completion:

  • Make an account of the geological history of the earth and the connection between geology and the petroleum industry
  • Explain the use of different exploration methods
  • Do the various methods and equipment for logging and testing
  • Explain how one performs core drilling and why one does it
  • Calculate pressure and pressure gradients that may occur in wells
  • Do the development and operation of different types of well-fuse equipment
  • Use methods and procedures for pressure control during drilling operations in a simulator
  • Make sure the most common drilling operations and equipment are being used
  • Stud both, fixed and floating installations and describe the main systems found on board Make a decision on how a well is being built, explain the purpose of the feed pipes and wellhead system, the need for cementing and the methods used for cementing
  • Do laboratory trials with different well fluids and do the main functions of well fluids, the composition and properties of different types of well fluids

Production and well maintenance:

  • Handle drive mechanisms in reservoir, flow passage and pressure drop through reservoir, well and surface equipment
  • Make an effort to build up production pipes, valves and process plants
  • Address the causes of production problems and measures to solve them
  • Describe the most common methods and procedures used for well maintenance
  • Explain different well repression methods
  • Do the purpose of cable, coiled tubing and hydraulic pipe operations
  • Study the main principles of the production process
  • Study various oil and gas transportation systems

HSE and Quality:

  • Work in a manner that takes into account the safety and health of your own and others, and to the internal and external environment, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Deal with the hazards by working on pressurized equipment and live wells, and for current regulations for such work
  • Use Devices reporting tools and secure job analysis
  • Report in writing and verbally about completed assignments.
  • Document basic safety and contingency training, VHF radio course, relevant curriculum and other courses in accordance with current guidelines for work on the actual site
